![]() ![]() There are not a lot of options for dining in this area, so when my friend and I needed a place for dinner this weekend, I highly recommended the Fireside Grill. It looks like they have a huge amount of space for catering and hosting events for large groups. I was surprised by the size of the building as well. It was a great value for the price and amount of food served. I ordered the grilled ham and cheese sandwich that came with fries and coleslaw. I was pleasantly surprised with their lunch menu options. I first visited this restaurant for lunch with a co-worker in November 2013. I have had better steaks at cheap places. Another waitress fixes it and cashes us out. My husbands potatoes look like somebody puked on his plate. Finally she comes back with two more rolls and drinks. My husband reminded her that she never refilled the bread. Another ten mins she comes back no drinks. She asked if we wanted steak sauce I said yes and ordered drink refills. My cole slaw need to have the eight hours of fluid drained off before I could eat it. Finally she bring two tiny little rooks out and our salads. they have salad and bread before yes and we gave now been there for 15 mins. She is pleasant gives over specials, sides etc. We watched her then she disappeared into the kitchen 10 mins later she rakes our order acting very rushed like the place is on fire and we are bothering her. She came back and had to drop off meals to a table. The waitress came over yo take our drink order. ![]() We arrived at 6:50pm on Thursday March 6. I just remembered that we were suppose to get rolls which we did not get, Also, prices start at $10 so I think it is pricey for what you get. There is a bar area that was full that looks like it was more fun and 'brighter'. The place was busy and others looked happy, so I thought it might just be me. We looked at it when we got home and it was drenched ground up broccoli, maybe. The waitress forgot to bring his tossed salad, so gave him their broccoli slaw to take home. The Sweet potato frys were big and tasted like home made which were good. My husbands half slab of ribs and BBQ sauce which he said was ok but not his favorite. I poured hot sauce on them and didn't help much. The salsa in portion control containers had no zip at all. My tacos had absolutely no flavor and the shredded beef was dry like shoe leather. they were slices instead of wedges which I liked. We had the fried dill pickles which were good. I ordered shredded beef tacos as nothing else appealed to me, and my husband ordered the ribs. Well they were out of Prime Rib and it was 7 p.m. I decided on the prime rib as it seemed reasonable. I couldn't figure out what to order as the menu was beef/streaks/Prime Rib and then some other kind of non descript entrees. Our waitress was friendly although seemed to busy. We were seated in a little room up front by a round fireplace. The restaurant is odd as it is all chopped up with little rooms. We heard on the radio that the Fireside Grill was opened recently and sounded like a good place to check-out. ![]()
